National Competition
The South African Bartenders Association (SABA) in conjunction with the Good Food and Wine Show will be hosting the National Classic Bartending and Flairtending competition kicking off in Cape Town at the end of May. The competition invites bartenders from all over South Africa to design three cocktails using the brands of the official sponsors Havana Club, Giffard and Angostura bitters. Three regional heats will be held at the Cape Town, Durban and Gauteng Good Food and Wine shows with the finals on the Sunday of the Johannesburg show.

The eventual winner of the competition will accompany Etienne to the International Bartending Association World Championships in Shanghai 2010.

Etienne, in his capacity as the president of SABA, has put together this competition for the 5th year running thus making sure that bartenders from around the country get to show off their expertise and be rewarded. He has also recently managed and launched the official SABA website www.sabartenders.co.za
