We celebrated the launch of our Cape Town training facilities on Wednesday, 5 July showcasing the latest cocktail creations. Guests were trained to make their own cocktails in the cocktail training room, which provided lots of interesting moves and laughs. The cocktails (and the opening) went down with great success and a big thank you to everyone who joined us.

THE GOOD FOOD & WINE SHOW

The Bartenders Workshop hosted a stand with Pravda Vodka/Monin Syrups at The Good Food & Wine Show, held at the CTICC from 18  - 21 May 2006. Etienne and celebrity chef Anthony Worrall-Thomson prepared cocktails and food together in the Chefs in Action theatre.

The annual HOSTEX exhibition show was held at the CTICC from 31 May – 2 June. The Bartenders Workshop hosted a cocktail bar with Core Catering supplies.

Upcoming Competition

Bombay Sapphire National Classic Cocktail Competition

Bartenders from Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg entered the search for the best mixologists in SA started. The competition is culminating in Cape Town as the finals take place at the much loved 12 Apostles.  Finalists will show their talent on Saturday, 22 July at 6pm. The winner will be rewarded with a much sought after prize of an overseas trip to compete in the Bartending World Championships.
