Kurt Schlechter is co-owner of The Bartenders Workshop, South Africa's top bartender training school.

The Bartenders Workshop trains over a thousand students a year in all aspects of professional bartending.

Kurt is also the training director for the The Bartenders Workshop, but mainly acts as a consultant to the bar and beverage industry.

Kurt is passionate about cocktails and the spirits and liqueurs used to mix them. He has been mixing cocktails for over ten years and continues to increase his knowledge on drinks around the world.

Kurt spends half the year traveling and educating bartenders around the country and also travels abroad on bartending assignments.

As the Flair Bartenders Association's representative for South Africa and a director of the South African Bartenders Association, Kurt is actively involved in all levels of bartending and continues to grow the art of mixology.

Kurt is also currently the South African cocktail champion and will compete in Puerto Rico this year for the title of World champion.
