Etienne started his career in the liquor industry in 1991 as a trainee manager for the Picardi group of liquor stores and was promoted to store manager at the age of twenty one.

Kurt Schlechter is co-owner of The Bartenders Workshop, South Africa's top bartender training school.

Marius Basson graduated from the prestigious Granger Bay Hotel School, Cape Town, in 2000. Marius excelled and was selected as a top student to complete the experiential part of his training in London and New York.

Beau started his career in the food and beverage industry over 15 years ago. Beau's bar experience spans across the globe from South Africa to London to Miami, Florida.

Derrick is one of the best bartenders that Cape Town has to offer. Originally from Pretoria, Derrick moved to the fairest Cape in December of 2007 and has worked for Bartenders Workshop ever since.

Andries has been working for Barterders Workshop for the last year as head bartender and was appointed a permanent position as senior events manager on 01/08/08.

Owen O´Reilly has been working in the bar industry for the past 6 years in bars all over the country, and for the last year at the Bartenders Workshop as the Cape Town Training Manager. Owen has also competed in numerous flair and mixology competitions and was this year´s winner of the regional Classic Cocktail competition in Durban.

Denzel gained most of his 10years of service industry experience during the 2years he spent abroad in the United States of America. Beverage management & event coordinating for the beverage department of a prestigious New York country Club and Silver service in Florida.

Is one the Junior Events Managers here at Bartendersworkshop. He has been in the hospitality industry for the past 8 years at many different establishments. His last place of work was Buena Vista Social Café for 3 years and he also worked in various other bars during this period. He loves working with people and is an enthusiastic new edition to the team.

I spent 12 years working for a corporate company and left to join The Bartenders Workshop in August 2008.

I have been in the service industry for just over 8 years now. Despite my age, I have vast experience and have done and mastered it all, from hostessing to bartending. I´m a woman in a male dominated team and I think that is what makes me stand out.

Linda joined BTW in August 2006 and she is currently the administration and accounts officer…

Jan spent 24 years in the security industry and 11 years in the civil legal services, during this period he became involved with The Bartenders Workshop...

I have been working in this industry for six years now doing sales in bar, restaurant and hotel supplies. I’m very excited about my new career at The Bartenders Workshop.

Kara entered into the food and beverage industry in 2001 through a course at the Granger Bay Hotel School and worked part time at the famous Buddha Bar in Green Point as a waitress.

He started off bartending in 2007 but is on par with the best Cape Town has to offer. Etienne became a permanent member of Bartendersworkshop in May 2009 and now holds a position of Junior Events Manager and offers professionalism to every event.
